Wow - my longest gap ever in journal entries! Not that it matters much, I suppose - it’s not like there’s anything pressing to report.



On the positive side, I finally found a hobby. I joined a dart league on Wednesday nights and it’s been fun. My team - and most everyone else in the league from what I can see - are a great group of people. I’m trying my best to get to know others and what have you, but that can be challenging for me. I just don’t know what to say to people a lot of the time and I think many folks find it hard to connect with me. Thankfully, though, one or two of my teammates appear to be making an effort to make conversation with me and such, which I appreciate. I guess we’ll see what happens. Hopefully, I can at least make a couple of friends eventually.



I’ve been taking a break from writing. I shut down the website I ran since 2010 earlier this year and gave another one a go, but it didn’t work out the way I’d hoped. I have an idea for another site possibly sometime down the road (and even have a good interview nailed down should I choose to move ahead with it), but I’m not sure that will be anytime soon even if I do decide to go with it. The past several months have been nice just relaxing and watching a ton of TV DVD seasons.



Even if I do write again, my outlook on it is going to be far different. I’ll be doing it a lot more for me and far less for everyone else. You know, for the longest time, I was in “Save the World” mode and quite honestly, it got me to a pretty shitty place in life. I think I have to start living a lot more for myself. A piss-poor attitude, perhaps, but I feel it’s probably best - for me, anyway.



I’m still at the same workplace. Seven-and-a-half years now. I haven’t been looking as aggressively of late as I have in the past, but I still wouldn’t mind getting out of there.



Well … I guess that’s my annual update, lol.
